James Laver


James is a graduate of the Oxford School of Drama and the University of Cambridge. He moved to Thailand and 2007, and he now works in Bangkok as an actor and magician.

In addition to performing magic, James has worked as a magic consultant on a number of stage shows such as “Blithe Spirit”, “The Little Shop of Horrors”, and most recently for “Dracula - Blood is Life” at the Siam Pic-Ganesha Theatre.

“How I Learned to Drive” is his third show with Peel the Limelight after performing in the company's premiere production of “Bent", and in last year’s “The True History of the Tragic Life and Triumphant Death of Julia Pastrana, The Ugliest Woman in the World”. Other recent stage appearances include roles in “The Never-Ending Loneliness For Two”, “Boxes”, and “The Little Prince".
